Twitter Accounts being withheld Amid Farmers Protests: In the wake of tension at Delhi borders, the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MEITY) directed Twitter India to block around 250 Tweets/Twitter accounts that were using the 'Modi Planning Farmer Genocide' hashtag.
There were reports that accounts posting about farmers' protests were being withheld by Twitter India. The message says, "The account has been withheld in India in response to a legal demand."

These accounts included Kisan Ekta Morcha, Caravan India, and tractor2twitr Team Punjab.
The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MEITY) directed Twitter to block around 250 Tweets/Twitter accounts that were using the 'Modi Planning Farmer Genocide' hashtag and making fake, intimidatory, and provocative Tweets on January 30, the sources revealed on Twitter Accounts being withheld.

It further revealed that this was done at the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs and law enforcement agencies to prevent any escalation of law and order in view of the ongoing farmers' protests.
The incitement to genocide is a grave threat to public order and therefore the Ministry of Electronics and IT ordered for blocking of these Twitter accounts and Tweets under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.
Likewise, Twitter India has blocked these Tweets/Twitter Accounts.
