UGC releases new Guidelines for University Admissions 2021-22, new session from this date

UGC Guidelines for University Admissions 2021: The University Grants Commission, UGC, has released the Exam Guidelines and Academic Calendar for the current session and new admissions. As per the UGC guidelines, the universities have to complete the Final Year and Semester Exams by August 31, 2021. As for the University Admissions 2021, UGC has stated, in its guidelines, that the UG admission process in various universities would start after the release of CBSE, ICSE, and other State Board Class 12 results. The new academic session would commence on October 1, 2021. Hence, the admission process would begin after that or tentatively from August 1, 2021. The last date for filling up the vacant seats is October 31, 2021. The new admissions can submit their documents by December 31, 2021. If there is a delay in the declaration of Qualifying (Class 12) Results, the Higher Education institute may go with another date i.e. October 18 for the new academic session. Meanwhile, the UGC also stated that the universities, in view of the coronavirus pandemic, shall not charge any cancellation fees for withdrawal of admission till October 31. -PTC News
