Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), March 12: Days after the BJP retained power for the second consecutive term in Uttar Pradesh, the swearing-in ceremony of the new Yogi Adityanath-led government is likely to take place after Holi, said sources. According to sources, Uttar Pradesh's acting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Delhi on Sunday to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda. On Friday, the CM tendered his resignation to Governor Anandiben Patel at the Raj Bhavan in Lucknow. “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has met governor Anandiben Patel and handed over the poll results showing the BJP’s victory. The governor has accepted his resignation and asked him to continue till alternative arrangements are made,” people aware of the developments at Raj Bhavan had said. The BJP was able to retain power in Uttar Pradesh by winning 255 of the state's 403 constituencies, with a vote share of 41.29 percent. The Samajwadi Party won 111 seats, with Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal receiving six and eight seats, respectively. The Congress and Jansatta Dal both received two seats, while the Bahujan Samaj Party won one.
