Vatican urges Christians and Sikhs to “promote a culture of tenderness’
The Vatican urges Christians and Sikhs to join hands to promote a culture of tenderness for the well-being of human beings and for the entire created world. The Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue (PCID) made this request on the occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Prakash Diwas, the birth anniversary of first Guru and founder of the Sikh religion.

According to media reports, Pontifical Council in its message signed by its Secretary Bishop Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot said, “Our cherished tradition of sharing with you some thoughts on this occasion draws your kind attention, this year, towards nurturing and promoting a culture of tenderness as a culture of self-centeredness and indifference towards one another seems to be taking root almost everywhere.”

According to PCID, Sikhs and Christians can bring the culture of tenderness for the well-being of all humankind, especially for the poor, weak, sick, migrant, irrespective of religious affiliations.
