Watch: PM inaugurates L&T's howitzer gun-manufacturing unit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Larsen & Toubro (L&T)’s howitzer gun-manufacturing unit on Saturday at Hazira in Surat. The company has set up its Armoured Systems Complex in Hazira to manufacture guns. It is around 30 km from Surat.

In 2007, Larsen & Toubro Company won the Rs 4,500 crore contract to supply 100 units of the K9 Vajra-T 155 mm/52 calibre Tracked Self-Propelled gun systems to the Indian Army.

The Armoured Systems Complex by Larsen & Toubro is first such facility in the private sector.
