Baba Vanga's Predictions for 2024: From 'rise in terror attacks' to 'terrifying weather events'

PTC News Desk: Despite her passing in 1996, the mystic Baba Vanga, a blind Bulgarian visionary, is believed to have foreseen significant global events. Often referred to as the Nostradamus of the Balkans, conspiracy theorists hail her for her apparent predictions, including the 9/11 terror attacks, Princess Diana's demise, the Chernobyl disaster, and Brexit. It's important to note that NDTV cannot independently verify these claims, as many rely on second-hand accounts.

For the year 2024, Baba Vanga is said to have made seven prophecies, as reported by Daily Star:

  1. Assassination Attempt on Russian President Putin: She foresaw an assassination attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin by a fellow countryman.
  2. Increased Terrorist Attacks: Europe is predicted to experience a surge in terrorist attacks. Furthermore, a "big country" is anticipated to conduct biological weapons tests or attacks.
  3. Global Economic Crisis: Baba Vanga predicted a substantial economic crisis that would impact the global economy in 2024. Factors contributing to this crisis include rising debt levels and escalating geopolitical tensions.
  4. Terrifying Weather Events and Natural Disasters: Anticipating an increase in natural disasters and alarming weather events.
  5. Rise in Cyber Attacks: Predicting a surge in cyberattacks, with advanced hackers targeting critical infrastructure, such as power grids and water treatment plants, posing a significant national security threat.
  6. New Treatments for Incurable Diseases: Indicating that new treatments for previously incurable diseases like Alzheimer's and cancer will emerge in 2024.
  7. Major Quantum Computing Breakthrough: Predicting a significant breakthrough in quantum computing.

Baba Vanga, originally born as Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova in 1911, mysteriously lost her eyesight at the age of 12 during a massive storm. Subsequently, she began having visions. When her family found her days later, she recounted her first vision, as per an old Independent report.
