Flight door bursts open mid-air in Brazil, video goes viral
Viral Video: A plane's cargo door opened mid-flight in Brazil and the video of the incident has been going viral on the internet.
In a horrifying video, which was captured by a passenger on the flight, people can be seen sitting inside the airplane with heavy winds blowing.
As the passenger pans the camera, the missing door becomes visible. According to reports, Tierry, a Brazilian singer and songwriter, was onboard the aeroplane with his teammates. The incident took place on a Brazilian airliner travelling from Sao Luis to Salvador on June 12.
Clouds can be seen beneath the aeroplane at one point in the video. The video's most startling moment is when the passengers appear calm despite severe winds and objects flapping around them.
The video which now has gone viral was shared by Breaking Aviation News & Videos. "The aircraft of Brazilian singer and songwriter Tierry safely lands at Sao Luis Airport after the cargo door opens in flight," the caption read.
"The Embraer-110 operated by NHR Taxi Aereo was transporting Tierry and his band members after a show in Sao Luis, Maranhao when the incident occurred," it added.
The video has so far amassed 1.4 lakh views and 847 likes.
