Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Arshad Nadeem: Instagram accounts of several Pak celebrities withheld in India
PTC News Desk: In a series of digital strike on Pakistan, India had now blocked Instagram accounts of several Pakistani celebrities including Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan. Users in the country are unable to access their profiles, with Hania Aamir's account reportedly among the first affected.
The development comes amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the deadly Pahalgam terror attacks on April 22 in which 26 people were killed in broad daylight.
Other Pakistani celebrities whose Instagram accounts have been disabled in India are Ali Zafar, Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas and Sajal Aly.
Meanwhile, Olympic gold medalist and javelin star Arshad Nadeem’s Instagram account has now been blocked in India.
When the fans tried to approach Instagram accounts of these celebrities, message displayed: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content."
However, the Instagram accounts of some other popular Pak celebrities including Fawad Khan and Wahaj Ali are still visible in India.
