Indian-origin family of 4 missing in US for five days, found dead in car crash
PTC News Desk: Four senior citizens of Indian-origin family went missing during a road trip from New York to Pennsylvania were found dead in car crash on Sunday. They were last seen at Burger King in Pennsylvania.
The Marshall County Sheriff's office said the senior citizens, all in their 80s, died in a car crash.
According to reports, the four senior citizens - Dr Kishore Divan (89), Asha Divan (85), Shailesh Divan (86), and Gita Divan (84) - were last seen at a Burger King outlet on Peach Street in Erie, Pennsylvania, on July 29. Their last credit card transaction also occurred at this location.
The four elderly citizens were travelling in a light green Toyota Camry, which had a New York licence plate (EKW2611). According to the media reports, none of them had answered their phones since July 29. The signals were last picked up in Moundsville.
Sheriff Mike Dougherty expressed condolences and said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
The law enforcement agencies over the last four days had deployed helicopters and additional teams to intensify their search for the elderly citizens.
