Indians to get visa-free entry in Sri Lanka; check details
PTC News Desk: Indians will get a visa-free entry to Sri Lanka. This comes as Sri Lanka allowed visa-free entry to visitors from seven countries under a pilot project the country's foreign affairs minister said on Tuesday.
The decision was approved by the Sri Lanka Cabinet, informed Minister Ali Sabry.
The minister stated that the pilot project, which began immediately, will continue until March 31, 2024.

India along with China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and Thailand have been approved for free visa entry into the country.
During the meeting, Minister Sabry stated, "Cabinet approves issuing of free visas to India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia & Thailand with immediate effect as a pilot project till 31 March."
According to The Daily Mirror, the Ministry of Tourism announced last week that a Cabinet Paper had been presented during the previous Cabinet meeting, proposing the issuance of free tourist visas to foreigners from five countries who intend to visit Sri Lanka as tourists.
