'Iran will be hit 'very badly' in next two weeks': Trump issues fresh warning to Tehran amid escalating tensions
PTC News Desk: US President Donald Trump has issued a blatant warning to Iran that it will be hit very hard in the next two weeks if no peace deal is brokered, while adding that the crucial Strait of Hormuz would reopen naturally after the conflict.
In an “address to the nation” on Wednesday night in the US (early Thursday in India), Trump described the ongoing operation ‘Epic Fury’ against Iran, saying, “We are on track to complete all military objectives shortly. Very shortly. We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks.”
He further added that the US would continue military operations until its objectives are achieved.
“We are going to bring them back to the Stone Age where they belong. During this period, if a deal is not made, the US has eyes on key targets. If there is no deal, we are going to hit every one of their electric generating plants—very hard and probably simultaneously,” Trump said.
Meanwhile Trump also criticised the nations who source oil from the Persian Gulf saying “go to the Strait and just take it, use it for yourself…the hard part is done, so it should be easy,” he said.
“In any case, when this conflict is over, the Strait will open up naturally. It’ll just open up naturally. So, to those countries that can’t get fuel, buy oil from the US. We have plenty,” he added.
