The first public appearance comes days after Khamenei was believed to be hiding in a safe location since the outbreak of a 12-day conflict with Israel that killed top Iranian officials.
Attendees were seen chanting as Khamenei, wrapped in his traditional black robes, walked into the venue often used for key state and religious functions.
Owing to security concerns, Kahmenei's absence had sparked several speculations questioning his whereabouts. His speeches during this period, including his annual address to mark key religious observances, were broadcast via pre-recorded video.
Iranian officials had confirmed that the decision was made in the backdrop of standard safety procedures and conflict resulting in regional instability.
