Israel crisis: Air India halts Tel Aviv flights amid Israel crisis until October 14
New Delhi, October 8: Air India has taken the decision to suspend its flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 14. This decision comes in the wake of recent hostilities in Israel, where the country was attacked by Hamas militants, resulting in ongoing conflict and casualties.
An airline spokesperson stated, "Our flights to and from Tel Aviv will remain suspended till 14th October, 2023, for the safety of our passengers and crew."
Air India is committed to providing necessary support to passengers with confirmed bookings on flights scheduled during this period, ensuring their convenience and well-being.
The full-service carrier ordinarily operates five weekly flights connecting the National Capital with Tel Aviv, with services available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
This recent suspension of flights follows a similar cancellation on Saturday when Air India decided to suspend operations to and from Tel Aviv.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with Israel on Saturday, denouncing the attacks by Hamas militants as acts of terrorism. Israel's leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, has described the situation as a state of war.
