Israeli PM Netanyahu vows to turn Hamas hideouts into rubble; at least 230 Palestinians killed
Israel-Palestine conflict: As the death toll from Hamas rocket fire and ground assault surpassed 300, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on Sunday to turn all known Hamas hideouts into "rubble."
He warned all Gaza people to flee, saying that the country would use all of its strength to destroy Hamas' capabilities.
Netanyahu stated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are "restoring control by clearing the terrorists out of the last communities" by going community by community, house by house.
"The IDF will immediately use all its strength to destroy Hamas's capabilities. We will destroy them and we will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on the State of Israel and its citizens. As Bialik wrote: 'Revenge for the blood of a little child has yet been devised by Satan," Netanyahu said on X.
"All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble. I say to the residents of Gaza: Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere," he further said.
Meanwhile, at least 232 people were killed in Gaza on Sunday when Israel carried out retaliatory attacks in response to Hamas rocket fire and the unprecedented ground assault in the Middle Eastern country, according to Al Jazeera.
Following a barrage of rockets fired from Gaza, Hamas fighters launched the largest attack against Israel in years on Saturday, infiltrating areas in the country's south.
