Blast in Pakistan: At least seven persons were killed and several others seriously injured after a powerful bomb blast tore through the office of a peace committee in Wana, the headquarters of South Waziristan district in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to reports.
The explosion caused a section of the building to collapse, trapping many under the debris. Rescue teams and local residents quickly launched an emergency operation to retrieve survivors. The injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals, with some reported to be in critical condition. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
