PM Modi US visit: Prime Minister to meet Elon Musk, Ray Dalio, other bigwigs in New York
PM Modi US visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet a galaxy of leaders from many walks of life during his visit to New York on Tuesday, including Tesla co-founder Elon Musk, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, and American investor Ray Dalio, among others.
According to officials, PM Modi will meet with around 24 people in New York, including Nobel laureates, economists, artists, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs, academicians, health sector experts, and others.
Prime Minister Modi will also meet Grammy award-winning Indian-American singer Falu (Falguni Shah), Essayist Nicholas Nassim Taleb, World Bank Senior Vice President Paul Romer, Author Jeff Smith, former US Trade Representative Michael Froman, American diplomat Daniel Russel, Bureaucrat Elbridge Colby, American physician Dr Peter Agre, Author Dr Stephen Klasko and musical artist Chandrika Tandon.
There will be discussions to to achieve better synergy and comprehend the developments in the United States. PM Modi will invite people to collaborate with India, officials added.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi emplaned for the United States for his first historic State visit.

Prior to leaving for the US, the PM took to Twitter and said, "Leaving for the USA, where I will attend programmes in New York City and Washington DC. These programmes include Yoga Day celebrations at the @UNHQ, talks with @POTUS @JoeBiden, address to the Joint Session of the US Congress and more."
US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden invited PM Modi. The Prime Minister will begin his journey in New York, where he will lead the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations Headquarters on June 21.
PM Modi will then go to Washington, DC, for a ceremonial welcome at the White House on June 22 and a meeting with President Biden to continue their high-level engagement.
The same evening, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host a State Dinner to honour the Prime Minister. On June 22, The Prime Minister will also address a Joint Sitting of the United States Congress.
