Traffic advisory issued for Chandigarh amid farmers' march to Delhi | Details Inside

Chandigarh, February 13: In anticipation of the scheduled march to Delhi by the Sanyukat Kissan Morcha (SKM) and the Bhartiya Kissan Majdoor Coordination Centre (BKMCC) on February 13, the Chandigarh Traffic Police have implemented precautionary measures to ensure law and order and facilitate smooth traffic flow.

In a joint call by the SKM and the BKMCC, activists and supporters have been urged to mobilise for the Delhi march, raising demands primarily centered  around legislation on Minimum Support Price (MSP). To accommodate this large-scale mobilisation, the Chandigarh Traffi Police, along with neighbouring states, have issued traffic advisories, impacting travel plans to and from the city.

The general public is advised to avoid travel through specific barriers in Chandigarh, where precautionary arrangements are in place

• Furniture Market Barrier on the zero border line (Chandigarh–Mohali road Sector-53/54)
• Badheri Barrier (dividing road Sector-54/55)
• Dividing road Sector-55/56
• Mohali barrier (near PP Palsora)

• Zirakpur Barrier
• Mullanpur Barrier
• Naya Gaon Barrier
• Dhillon Barrier
• Housing Board Light Point Manimajra
  The Chandigarh Police said in case of any violation, strict penal action under the relevant provisions of the law will be taken in the interest of public safety.
