16-year-old girl gang-raped by eight men in front of parents in 'revenge' for brother's elopement
Amroha Gang Rape Case: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped in front of her parents by eight men in a revenge for her brother's elopement. As per the report, the accused allegedly wanted to take revenge as the elder brother of the rape victim had eloped with a woman from their family. The Amroha gang rape case has created a state of shock. Hence, the family of the accused was upset over the same. On June 28, the teenager and her parents were looking for the missing couple. The girl's father has also alleged that one of the accused married her off without their consent. On June 29, the accused threatened the girl's parents to murder her if they lodged a complaint. However, the family approached the police but no complaint was filed. An FIR was registered when the girl narrated her tale. Meanwhile, the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and POCSO Act. -PTC News
