Even after 8 days of the sacrilege bid at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the Punjab Police are yet to ascertain the identity of the accused, who was beaten to death by an angry mob. Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya on Saturday said that "the accused has not been identified as of now." While addressing the media persons, Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya said that "We have registered a case in the sacrilege incident at the Golden Temple in Amritsar." They will be giving us a report shortly. The deceased has not been identified as of now. We are assessing all the inputs including CCTV," he said.
