After minister's assurance, Punjab revenue staff call off strike
Chandigarh, March 30: After the intervention and assurance by Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa, staff of the Revenue Department on Wednesday called off their strike with immediate effect.
During a meeting with the Punjab Revenue Officers' Association at Punjab Bhawan, the Punjab Revenue Minister assured representatives of the association that all their demands would be considered sympathetically, while asking them to immediately join their offices in larger public interest.

Bram Shanker Jimpa said the Punjab Government was committed to the welfare of the employees and the demands of the Punjab Revenue Officers' Association would be taken up with the Chief Minister to resolve them.
Additional Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua and other officials were also present during the meeting.
