Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia died on Wednesday morning. He took to Twitter to share the news and expressed his grief.
“She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti,” the Bollywood actor tweeted.

Akshay Kumar was in the UK shooting for his upcoming movie “Cinderella”, produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by Ranjit M Tewari. "He flew back to the country Monday morning as his mother is unwell. He was shooting for ‘Cindrella’ in the UK. He flew back after taking permission from the Bhagnanis (producers),” sources said.
Akshay Kumar recently featured in Tewari’s spy thriller “Bell Bottom”. His upcoming movies are “Prithiviraj”, “Sooryavanshi”, “Bachchan Pandey”, “Atrangi Re”, “Ram Setu” and Raksha Bandhan”.
