Amritsar district court stays Chief Khalsa Diwan Elections
The Amritsar District Court on Saturday restrained Chief Khalsa Diwan management from holding its election.The Chief Khalsa Dewan was all set to hold its elections on December 2.
The district court ordered interim stay on the CKD elections on a petition filed by Harjit Singh Sachdeva . Next hearing of the case will be held on December 7.
Earlier on Friday, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had directed the Chief Khalsa Diwan Secretary to conduct CKD elections as per Sikh rehat maryada (Sikh rituals)
