A Punjab Police Sub – Inspector allegedly committed suicide in Jandiala police station in Amritsar apparently due to mental distress, police said on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Satinder Pal Singh who was posted as Sub-Inspector in Jandiala police station in Amritsar.

Satinder Pal Singh shot himself with a service revolver. He was taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
