Assembly Elections 2022 Highlights: All eyes are on Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur, where the political scenario is heated up ahead of Assembly elections 2022.

As the first phase of the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022 concluded on Thursday, the voter turnout for the Jat-dominant belt of western Uttar Pradesh was recorded to be nearly 60 percent. The districts which recorded the highest voter turnout were Shamli with 66.14 percent, followed by Muzaffarnagar and Mathura at 65.32 percent 62.90 percent, respectively.

The second phase of polling for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022 is scheduled for February 14. Likewise, Goa and Uttarakhand elections will be held on February 14.

On the other hand, the Election Commission revised the polling dates for the 2022 Assembly elections in Manipur. The first phase of the elections will now be held on February 28 instead of February 27 and the second phase on March 5 instead of March 3 earlier.

Punjab is scheduled to go for polling on February 20 while the results for all five states will be held on March 10.
