‘Muslims use condoms most’: Asaduddin Owaisi’s sharp reply to PM Modi remark on ‘more children’

Asaduddin Owaisi reply to PM Modi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi responded sharply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent remarks regarding Muslims and claims of "wealth redistribution" towards certain demographics.

Addressing the contentious issue during a rally in Hyderabad, the AIMIM chief refuted the notion propagated by the Prime Minister, stating, "Muslims use condoms most."

In a direct retort to PM Modi's insinuation about demographics, Owaisi took a jab at the ruling party's slogan 'Modi ki guarantee,' asserting that the only guarantee the Prime Minister seems to offer is to "hate Dalits and Muslims."

Questioning the narrative surrounding Muslim demographics, Owaisi referenced data from the Modi government itself, highlighting a decline in population growth and fertility rates among Muslims. Unabashedly, he emphasised, "Muslims use condoms most," dismissing any stigma attached to the assertion.

Last week, Prime Minister Modi indirectly criticised the Congress party, suggesting that they would redistribute India's wealth to families with more children if they were to win the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

"If the Congress party comes to power, it would redistribute wealth of the people to Muslims," said PM Modi at a public rally in Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister also referred to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's remarks made in December 2006 that “the minorities, particularly Muslim minorities, should have first claim on the country's resources".

PM Modi comments triggered a sharp retort from the Congress, which accused him of resorting to falsehoods to deflect attention from real issues concerning voters. The party clarified that its manifesto did not include any such proposal.

Following these remarks, the Congress filed a complaint against the Prime Minister with the Election Commission of India (ECI) which later issued a notice to the BJP.
