Babita Phogat and her father Mahavir Singh Phogat joins BJP in the presence of Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju

Indian Wrestler Babita Phogat and her father Mahavir Singh Phogat on Monday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. Babita Phogat won the gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games, while his father has been motivation for all of those who think the daughter is meant to be the pride of the kitchen. Also, Babita Phogat has won a Bronze medal in 2012 World Wrestling Championships.

Babita Phogat is the sister of Geeta Phogat, who has been India's first Gold Medalist in Commonwealth Games in Wrestling. Also, Mahavir Singh Phogat is  Dronacharya Award recipient, but now they both will be seen on the different mat of politics. Babita Phogat is having a cousin Vinesh Phogat, who is also a Gold medal winner in the 48 kg category, at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Kiren Rijiju, who present during the joining of Babita Phogat and Mahavir Singh Phogat in BJP, was recently given the Sports Ministry under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet 2.0.
