Poonch terror attack: IAF pays tribute to martyr Corporal Vikky Pahade; manhunt continues

PTC News Desk: The Indian Air Force expressed grief over the death of Corporal Vikky Pahade, who died as a result of injuries sustained in the attack on Saturday evening, Meanwhile, forces are conducting aerial surveillance in Poonch as the massive manhunt continued to track down the terrorists responsible for the convoy ambush.

Taking to X, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said, "The CAS Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and all personnel of (the) Indian Air Force salute the braveheart Corporal Vikky Pahade, who made the supreme sacrifice in (the) Poonch Sector, in the service of the nation. Our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. We stand firmly by your side in this hour of grief." 


Earlier on Sunday, security personnel launched a massive manhunt in response to the day before's terrorist attack on an Indian Air Force convoy, which killed one personnel. Security forces have set up nakas, and checks are underway in the area.

Additional Indian Army forces arrived at the Jarra Wali Gali (JWG) in Poonch late on Saturday night.

Following the ambush in Sanai village, Poonch sector, the injured personnel were rushed to Udhampur's Command Hospital. However, one of the injured airmen died from his injuries.
