Akali Dal's senior leader and MLA Bikram Majithia gave the response to Referndum 2020. Majithia thanked the people who have rejected it. He said that they have received the education of SARBAT but some people who wanted to play on the agenda of Pakistan. And the Punjabis sitting abroad did not turn their backs on.

On the pull of the Aam Aadmi Party, Bikram Majithia quipped, saying that both the parties are thirsty for each other's blood. They urge the Speaker to do something for them, otherwise the people of the parties would be responsible for any kind of damage.

Bikram Majithia said that today's meeting of Akali Dal legislators discussed about the demand for extension of the legislative assembly including the issues raised in the Legislative Assembly. Majithia said that during the assembly session, other issues related to the people besides farmers' suicide, unemployment, deteriorating law and order and other issues related to drug addiction are to be raised so the duration of the stages of the Legislative Assembly should be made for a long time. He said that the situation in Punjab is such that it can be judged that Panchayat elections will not be held in a fair manner.
