Captain Amarinder Singh's govt intentionally harassing new investors: SAD

Punjab News: Shiromani Akali Dal lashed out at Captain Amarinder Singh led Congress government for intentionally harassing new investors interested in investing in the state and said that tall claims of the Congress government including one on single window system had fallen flat.

The SAD Trade and Industry Wing President- NK Sharma said it was shocking that the Congress government was intentionally harassing investors who were forced to knock on doors of different departments for getting their projects approved.

Citing media reports, the Shiromani Akali Dal Treasurer said investors were being harassed for obtaining various clearances.

Punjab News: Shiromani Akali Dal lashed out at Captain Amarinder Singh led Congress government for intentionally harassing new investors.

He said on the one hand Captain Amarinder Singh had announced that Change of land use (CLU) would be issued without taking any charges and now investors were being forced to pay huge amounts for getting this clearance. He said that similarly investors were being forced to give FD guarantees to different departments for keeping their files moving.

NK Sharma said officers of different departments were harassing these investors who have already made huge investments after believing the words of the Chief Minister.

He said Capt Amarinder had again failed to keep his word in the same manner in which he had reneged on all promises made to Punjabis on the eve of the assembly elections.

The SAD leader said instead of misleading people with tall and false promises, the Congress Government should apologize to investors for the harassment being meted out to them and resolve their grievances immediately.

“In case the government continues with this policy or harassing and fleecing investors the State will suffer and the Invest Punjab department itself will be discredited”, he added.
