Actor Vindu Dara Singh has shared his reaction after watching the teaser of Ramayana featuring Ranbir Kapoor, calling it better than Adipurush, he also offered a word of caution to the makers on what they should be mindful of.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently being hailed for his calm and composed first appearance in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming mythological epic-Ramayana. Actor Vindu Dara Singh, son of legendary wrestler-actor Dara Singh who immortalised Lord Hanuman as Pawanputra in Ramayana has shared his reaction after watching the teaser of Ramayana. Calling it better than Adipurush, he also offered a word of caution to the makers on what they should be mindful of.
The actor didn’t hold back while sharing his thoughts praising the upcoming epic while throwing serious shade at Adipurush.
“This Looks Promising”
Vindu has given a clear thumbs-up to the early visuals of Ramayana, calling it impressive and far more promising than recent attempts at bringing the epic to the big screen. He also appreciated Ranbir Kapoor’s look as Lord Ram, saying the actor fits the role well and adds to the film’s appeal.
With its grand scale and ambitious vision, Ramayana is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Bollywood projects and Vindu Dara Singh seems optimistic about where it’s headed.
Not-So-Subtle Dig at Adipurush
While praising one film, Vindu didn’t mince words about the other. Referring to Adipurush, he remarked, “woh pata nahi kya tha,” making it clear he was far from impressed with the Prabhas-led adaptation.
According to him, the earlier film failed to live up to expectations, and its execution left audiences disconnected from the essence of the epic.
Suggestion to makers
Even as he praised Ramayana, Vindu issued an important warning to director Nitesh Tiwari and the team. His message was simple: don’t tamper too much with the original story.
Meanwhile, Ramayana also stars Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, Yash in key roles and will be released on the occasion of Diwali 2026.
