PTC Web Desk:  Yami Gautam and her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar, have reportedly shifted their permanent base from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh, choosing a quieter life at their heritage property in Mandi.

Mumbai has long been the centre of the Hindi film industry, but Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar are reportedly moving away from the city and spending more time at their home in Himachal Pradesh.

According to information, the couple has now made their property in Gohar, Mandi, their permanent base. The move comes after years of living and working in Mumbai, where their professional commitments kept them closely connected to the city.

Yami has always had a strong connection with Himachal Pradesh. She was born in Bilaspur and has often spoken about her bond with the state. The actress and Aditya Dhar reportedly own a 100-year-old heritage house spread across around 25 acres in Gohar.

The property is built in the traditional Himachali style, using wood and stone. Unlike the modern luxury homes often associated with Bollywood celebrities, the house reportedly retains a simple and rustic character. Exposed wooden beams, stone walls and deep-set windows add to its traditional look, while the interiors have a warm and understated feel.

The property is also surrounded by farmland and organic kitchen gardens. Reports have said that Yami and Aditya grow fruits and vegetables there, including apples, plums, potatoes and ginger. A greenhouse and space for growing lemons and other produce are also reportedly part of the property.

A special place for Yami and Aditya

The Himachal home has a personal connection for the couple. Yami and Aditya got married at the property in June 2021 in a private ceremony. The house has therefore remained an important part of their lives beyond being a holiday destination.

Before reportedly shifting to Himachal, the couple lived in a rented apartment in Khar West, Mumbai. They had been associated with the city for several years because of their film careers.

Aditya Dhar has largely stayed away from the limelight despite the success of his recent film 'Dhurandhar'. The filmmaker and Yami were also recognised at the National Film Awards for Article 370. Aditya was honoured as a producer, while Yami received recognition for her performance.

The couple has generally maintained a private personal life. They welcomed their son Vedavid in May 2024 and have so far kept his face away from the public eye. Even in a picture shared by Yami in September 2025, their son's face was not visible.

Reports have estimated the value of the couple's Himachal property at around Rs 8 crore, although the exact valuation has not been independently confirmed.
