Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2019 passed in Lok Sabha

The Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2019 has been passed in Lok Sabha, here on Friday. Now, the bill is expected to provide relief to people in Jammu and Kashmir residing areas along with the international border. As per the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, they will be now able to avail reservation in direct recruitment, promotion, and admission in various professional areas. Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the vill to amend Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004.

Likewise, Lok Sacha gave a nod to the Government seeking an extension of President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir from July 3 effectively.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took some valid points over the state Jammu and Kashmir. He said and I quote, "They are saying we are trampling democracy in J&K. Before this time, till now 132 times, article 356 has been imposed(President's rule), out of which 93 times Congress has done it. Now these ppl will teach us democracy?"

Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah speaks in Lok Sabha on Zero Tolerance policy. He said and I quote, "Narendra Modi Govt has adopted a zero tolerance policy towards terror and I am sure we will be successful in achieving it with the help of our citizens".

In another move, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said and I quote, "Why wasn't Jamaat-e-Islami banned till date? Who did you want to please? It was BJP govt that banned Jamaat-e-Islami. Who put the ban on JKLF? It was BJP who did it."

Further on, Amit Shah took a jibe at Congress leader Manish Tewari. He said and I quote, "Who called for ceasefire back then? It was Jawaharlal Nehru who did it and gave that portion(PoK) to Pakistan. You say we don't take ppl into confidence, but Nehru ji did it without taking the then HM into confidence. So Manish(Tewari) ji don't teach us history".
