Justice Ranjit Singh Commission case: Hearing adjourned till December 10

The Punjab and Haryana on Thursday adjourned the hearing in Justice Ranjit Singh Commission case till December 10. The hearing took place in Justice Rajan Gupta’s court. The ban on the investigation of five policemen will remain intact. The next hearing in the case will be on December 10.

P. Chidambaram was present on behalf of the Punjab Government in the previous hearing. Also, the statutes report was submitted by the state government.

Punjab and Haryana Court

In October 2015, two persons were killed and 60 others were injured in police firing when they were protesting against a series of incidents of desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib. The first incident of desecration was reported from Bargari in Faridkot district.
