Ludhiana girl wins silver in international astronomy event

Punjab: Bringing laurels to the nation, Ludhiana-based Ekjot Kaur, has won a silver in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) 2021 in the U-18 junior category.

Ekjot Kaur is a student of Class XI at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana.

IAAC | International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition

As many as 4,700 students from across the globe such as the US, UK, Russia, Canada, Germany, China, France, Italy, Spain, South Korea, and New Zealand, participated in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) 2021.

The competition had three rounds— qualification round, pre-final round, and final round. It tested the participants' in-depth knowledge of astronomy and astrophysics.
