Manjit Thind, a cameraman, has been arrested in the Geet Brar murder case. Geet’s body was recovered from Rajpura on Wednesday.
She was a makeup artist in Punjabi film industry. The cameraman had picked her on Tuesday evening and murdered her in Rajpura by firing three shots at her from close range. He killed geet when she asked her money back. He owed Geet Rs 26 lakh.
The body of the 32-year-old artist was found dumped near Rajpura with bullet injury marks in the head and neck.
Sources had said that Geet, who lived in a rented accommodation, had left with an unidentified man on Tuesday at 5 pm. Her mobile was switched off after 5.30 pm. The police had questioned two of her women friends and hadn’t ruled out contract killing.
Actor Binnu Dhillon said: “She was a dedicated artist and was always cheerful.”
