PTC Web Desk: The authorities opened the flood gates of Sukhna Lake once again on Thursday after heavy morning rain caused the water level to rise above the normal mark.

This monsoon season, the gates have already been opened more than 10 times, highlighting the pressure on the lake due to continuous inflows. Officials said that cloudbursts and persistent rainfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have further contributed to the increase in water levels.

The administration is closely monitoring the situation to ensure safety measures are in place as heavy rain continues in the region.
