5 UP cops killed in high-speed crash on KMP Expressway in Haryana’s Nuh
PTC Web Desk: In a tragic road accident, five personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Police lost their lives after their vehicle met with a severe crash on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway in Haryana’s Nuh district on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place around 10.30 am near the Dhulawat toll plaza, which falls under the jurisdiction of Tauru Sadar police station. According to officials, the police team was travelling in a Mahindra Scorpio and was headed towards Palwal from Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district.
Preliminary findings suggest that the accident occurred when the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle at high speed but lost control of the SUV. The vehicle then collided forcefully with another vehicle ahead, resulting in a devastating impact.
Local police and emergency response teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the crash. The collision was so intense that the vehicle was badly damaged and all five occupants died on the spot. Authorities had to work extensively to pull out the bodies from the wreckage.
The deceased were serving personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Police posted in Jalaun. The identities of the victims are being verified.
