New Delhi, December 26: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to his grandmother, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, on Monday at her Shakti Sthal memorial in the national capital.
The former Congress president also paid tribute to his father and another former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, at the Veer Bhumi memorial. Rahul Gandhi, who has been leading the over 3,500-kilometer-long "Bharat Jodo Yatra" from Kanyakumari to Kashmir since September 7, is in the national capital for a nine-day break. On January 3, the foot march will resume.
Last week, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra refused to view the assassinations of the two former Prime Ministers as national sacrifices.

Mishra was responding to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's "dog" remark, in which Kharge stated in parliament that Congress leaders had sacrificed their lives for the country and asked BJP leaders if they had done the same.
On December 24, the Bharat Jodo Yatra arrived in the national capital. The rally arrived in southeast Delhi's Badarpur from Haryana's Faridabad.
Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi also joined the yatra for the first time, as did Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra, as the march headed to the Red Fort.
The yatra was also attended by Makkal Needhi Maiam president and veteran actor Kamal Haasan on December 24 in Delhi.
Several Bollywood celebrities have already taken part in the yatra, including Pooja Bhatt, Riteish Deshmukh, Swara Bhaskar, and Riya Sen.
