Congress vote count in past three elections less than BJPs 2024 tally: Narendra Modi
The NDA, led by Narendra Modi, will make a bid to form the government. It is anticipated that every NDA member will submit letters to President Droupadi Murmu formally recognizing Prime Minister Modi.
PTC News Desk: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP, is holding a meeting at Parliament's Central Hall to choose Narendra Modi as its leader. After the meeting, the alliance will declare its intention to form the government, according to reports.
Around 11:30 AM, the gathering to choose Narendra Modi as the head of the NDA members began, setting the stage for him to be sworn in as prime minister for a third term.
At the crucial meeting were prominent members of the NDA partners, such as JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan, NCP chief Ajit Pawar, and leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan.
As Narendra Modi came for the parliamentary party gathering, chants of "Modi-Modi" reverberated through the halls of Samvidhan Bhavan, the historic Parliament edifice. He spoke briefly with Nitish Kumar and Naidu, who were seated to his left, as he took his place.
The NDA will lay claim to establish the government after the meeting. It is anticipated that every NDA member will submit letters to President Droupadi Murmu formally recognising Prime Minister Modi.
