Amritsar man dies of heart attack in California, family seeks govts help to bring back mortal remains

He was working at a store in Ajuba City and went to the United States one and half years back to in the hope of better future and to overcome financial problems of his family.

PTC News Desk: A 30-year-old man from Punjab's Amritsar district died in California, US after he suffered a heart attack. The deceased has been identified as Gurjant Singh, who was a resident of Bhindi Saidan village.


He was working at a store in Ajuba City and went to the United States one and half years back to in the hope of better future and to overcome financial problems of his family.


The deceased's father, Sarabjit Singh, said that his son had gone abroad to help the family, but his untimely death has shocked everyone.


The family of Gurjant have appealed to both the Centre and State government and various social organizations to bring back his mortal remains to Punjab so that they can conduct their son's last rites. 


The villagers have also appealed to the administration that the government should take action soon so that the family can get mental and financial support.
