Patiala: Dengue situation out of control; 39 new cases reported
Patiala, November 24: Patiala district on Thursday reported 39 fresh cases of dengue, indicating towards poor management by the administration. Out of these 39 cases, 23 are from urban areas, including 12 from Patiala city, 1 from Nabha, 10 from Rajpura. In rural areas, 2 cases have been reported in Bhadson block, 7 in Shutrana block, 7 in Kalomajra block, 2 in Kalomajra block, 1 in Harpalpur block and 3 in Dudhanasadhan block.

With this number of dengue patients in Patiala has increased to 881, including 523 in urban areas and 359 in rural areas. Reportedly, 14 areas in Patiala are now declared as dengue hotspot, however administration has failed to control larvae through fogging or any other preventive measure.
