Punjab National Bank officer kidnapped, killed in Bihar’s Gaya

A Punjab National Bank (PNB) officer was first kidnapped and later killed on Saturday in Gaya district in Bihar. The victim has been identified as Pintu Singh. He was kidnapped late on Friday from Amas. He was believed to have been shot dead around 2 am on Saturday.

Officer-in-charge of Amas police station Shyam Lal Sarah briefed that media that Pintu Singh was bank’s Customer Service Point (CSP) in charge. Deep injury marks were found on his head.

Earlier this week, a businessman was shot dead in Vaishali district. The back-to-back killings have triggered violent protest by villagers. They have blocked the GT road due to which traffic has disrupted the traffic for hours. The businessman, identified as Gunjan Khemka was shot dead on Thursday. Khemka was targeted on his way to the factory in Hajipur.

Police is investigating the case. It is still in dark and yet to make a breakthrough in the case.
