Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Badal along with  Food & Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal arrived at the village polling station amid tight security.

The Punjab Panchayat elections voting began at 8 am. The Voting will conclude at 4 PM on Sunday. A total number of 17,268 polling booths has been set up across the state. The results of the Punjab Panchayat elections will be announces in the evening.

Around 8000 candidates are contesting for the post of sarpanchas and panches in the state.
