A debt-ridden worker inPunjab’s Bathinda district allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by consuming insecticide.

Bittu Singh of Dhilwan village had a loan, police said quoting the deceased’s family. He consumed insecticide at his due to the resultant stress, his family told police.

Meanwhile,  the police filed a case and started probing the matter. The police have filed a case under the section 174 of the CrPC.
