SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, leader Bikram Singh Majithia, and others detained

Water cannons on SAD Protestors: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia, and other SAD leaders have been detained by the Punjab Police for protesting outside the residence of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh against various scams.

The SAD workers started marching towards the residence of Captain Amarinder Singh while the police resorted to water cannons. The barricades were broken which were placed by the police to stop them.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal, senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia and the other party workers were detained.

SAD has been demanding the immediate dismissal of Health minister Balbir Singh Sidhu besides the institution of a CBI probe into the vaccine and Fateh kit scams.

The SAD president is leading the ‘dharna’ while the senior leadership of the party, legislators, former legislators, district presidents, and youth office bearers were present during the protest.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, before getting detained, said, "If a storm rises, Captain won't be able to stop it, even if he uses all his force. There is a scam in vaccination, there is a scam in Fateh Kit, there is a scam in SC scholarship, farmers' land is being acquired."

SAD had recently exposed the vaccine scam, as well as the Fateh kit scam in Punjab, which had shaken the conscience of Punjabis.
