PTC Web Desk: In a disturbing incident, KAP’S Cafe, a newly launched restaurant owned by renowned comedian Kapil Sharma, was attacked on Wednesday night in Surrey, British Columbia.
According to early reports, multiple shots were fired at the cafe, though fortunately, no injuries were reported. Local police swiftly cordoned off the area and began a full-scale investigation. The motive remains unclear, but the attack is being treated as a serious security threat.

As per sources, Harjit Singh Laddi, a suspected Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative and one of India's most-wanted terrorists listed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has reportedly claimed responsibility. Laddi allegedly cited offensive remarks made by Kapil Sharma as his reason for the attack, though no official confirmation has been provided regarding the nature of those comments.

KAP’S Cafe had only recently opened its doors with a soft launch over the weekend and was quickly gaining popularity, especially among the Indian diaspora. The cafe’s official Instagram page had shared updates celebrating the overwhelming response and thanked customers for their patience amid long queues.
Designed with a chic and cozy ambiance, the cafe features pink and white decor, artificial flowers, chandeliers, and baby pink sofas—making it a hit on social media. Its menu includes specialty coffees and desserts like lemon pistachio cake, fudgy brownies, and flaky croissants.
Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath had posted heartfelt messages from the opening event, thanking friends and fans for their support. Fellow comedian Kiku Sharda also congratulated Kapil with the message, "Kya baat hai!"
