Reel turns fatal: UP woman loses balance while shooting hanging scene at home
PTC Web Desk: A 27-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district lost her life in a tragic accident while recording a video for social media, the police has said.
According to officials, the woman was filming a reel at her residence and was attempting to recreate a hanging scene. For the video, she reportedly placed a noose around her neck and stood on a stool. During the process, she is believed to have lost her balance or slipped, causing the stool to move and the noose to tighten around her neck.
Family members told the police that the incident occurred within moments, leaving no time for intervention. The woman was later discovered by her four-year-old daughter, whose cries alerted neighbours. Locals rushed into the house and immediately informed the police.
Police teams reached the spot promptly and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Initial investigation suggests that the death was accidental and occurred during the filming of the reel, officials said, adding that all possible angles are still being examined.
The incident once again highlights the growing risks associated with filming dangerous content for social media.
