PTC Web Desk: Two cases of unidentified Covid variant have been reported in two persons in Israel, the health ministry has confirmed. As per reports, it is a combination of the BA.1 (omicron) and BA.2 variants.
Sources said two patients, upon landing at Ben-Gurion International airport, underwent RT-PCR test They had symptoms of fever, headache and muscle ache.
The infected people, who is a couple, reportedly contracted unidentified Covid variant from their infant son.
The sources said In Israel, Covid subvariant Omicron infections were declining, but now cases of BA.2 virus are coming to the fore.
