Young faces among 10 Himachal ministers inducted into cabinet
Anil Sharma, Mahendra Singh, Sarveen Chaudhary first-time ministers: There are majorly young faces among the list of 10 ministers released here, who took oath along with CM-designate Jai ram Thakur on Wednesday.
The cabinet will have six Rajputs, two Brahmins, an OBC and an SC.
Mahendra Singh, Suresh Bhardwaj, Anil Sharma, Sarveen Chaudhary, Ram Lal Markanday, Vipin Singh Parmar, Virender Kanwar, Vikram Singh, Govind Singh and Rajiv Saijal namely.
Most of them are young and will serve as a minister for the first time. Barring Mahender Singh, Sarveen Chaudhary, Markanday and Anil Sharma all others will be first-time ministers.
Senior MLAs like Rajiv Bindal, Kishan Kapoor, Narender Bragta and Ramesh Dhawala, and all former ministers do not find place in the list.
Mandi district gets two berths with Sukh Ram’s son Anil Sharma and Dharampur MLA Mahender Singh finding place in the cabinet.
There has been no representation to Hamirpur district in the cabinet following the BJP’s dismal performance there as it won only two of the five seats, and more prominently, the defeat of CM candidate PK Dhumal from Sujanpur.
