Audience to be allowed at IPL matches in UAE
Covid 19: The Indian Premier League (IPL) season is set to begin in the UAE later this week and the audience will be permitted inside the stadium for the first time after 2019. This was announced by the BCCI in a press release issued on September 15. It will resume from September 19 with Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. "This match will be a momentous occasion as the IPL will welcome the fans back to the stadiums after a brief hiatus owing to Covid 19 situation," an IPL statement said. "Matches will be played at Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with limited seating available keeping in mind the Covid 19 protocols and UAE government regulations," it added.
